Fringing Around

Hi Everybody!

With so many designers rediscovering the sustaining street smarts of denim, the best part about this trend is you most likely have it in your closet. I can hardly do without denim in any season, since it has managed to become the most versatile fabric for building effortlessly chic looks without trying too hard. I’m sure most of us own at least a chambray shirt or a denim jacket lurking at the back of your wardrobe too. Instead of just buttoning up my shirt and tucking it away I gave it a different look by knotting it up in the front. In addition to a good pair of heels, a good piece of jewellery goes a long way in dressing up an otherwise super casual outfit. The handcuff bracelet is a little chunkier than I’d usually pick, but the addition leveled up my outfit a little.

Want to work fringe at the office? Try this kind of smart pencil skirt. I love going for modest but sexy midi hems, generally stopping just over the knees but sometimes just under as well. I feel these hemlines serve to elongate the figure, flattering most when just above the knee, so that the legs look longer, giving the look of an illusion of me being taller. Cool right? I really need that bit. Furthermore, it added a roaring seventies spin to them with the fringes. The fringes gave a lavish decorative element to the skirt like chic tassels. So, here are the pictures, Hope you enjoy them as much as I did putting this look together.
